What happens when I buy multiple items in one order with 4 interest-free installments?

Paying in 4 interest free installments makes shopping easier than ever. You'll never pay for an item until it's been shipped. If you have multiple items in an order and they are shipped separately, you will have an installment plan for each shipment. The perk? You'll never be in a situation where you pay for an item that you haven't received. For example: You order 3 items from a retailer for $100.00. The first item for $40.00 ships, you receive a shipping confirmation from the retailer and an installment confirmation from Klarna for 4 payments of $10.00. One week later, your remaining 2 items worth $60.00 ship. You receive another email from the retailer and another email from Klarna with an installment confirmation of 4 payments of $15.00.

I returned my purchase, what happens next?

We've got you covered! If the store you purchased from issues a return credit for the full purchase amount, any payments already made will be refunded to your original payment method and your remaining payments will be cancelled. If the store credits less than the full purchase amount, the order balance will be updated. If the return credit causes the order to be overpaid, the overpaid amount will be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Otherwise, your upcoming payments will continue to be collected until the remaining balance is paid off. You can check the status of return credits and refunds anytime by logging in online or in the Klarna mobile app.

Two payments have been charged to my credit or debit card, but only one payment appears on my Klarna.com account. Why is this?

As part of our approval process, we may conduct a pre-authorization on your specified card to ensure it is not being used fraudulently. The amount charged will never be greater than your first installment due for the order. The pre-authorization is immediately voided or reversed by Klarna, which means that the funds should not be withheld from your account. Please note, this is not a charge, and Klarna does not receive any funds associated with the pre-authorization.
