Past Love Island Contestants

Very often, Love Island’s past contestants go on to do very interesting things in their lives and careers. You may have kept up to date with your faves, but to pique your curiosity, we at EGO have put together our full list of past Love Island contestants to keep you up to date. These are just what a few of the most interesting contestants have been up to, from the hugely famous to those who’ve gone under the radar:

  • Molly Mae Hague and Tommy Fury
  • Hannah Elizabeth
  • Michael Griffiths
  • Zara McDermott
  • Camilla Thurlow and Jaime Jewitt
  • Rob Lipsett
  • Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu
  • Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan
  • Alex George
  • Chris Taylor

Molly Mae Hague and Tommy Fury

Molly Mae is most likely the top example of past Love Island contestants who have gone on to do very well after their time on the show, furthering her already huge following prior to the show. As runners-up in 2019’s series, she and Tommy Fury have famously gone on to keep the fire burning. Both welcoming their baby daughter Bambi and getting engaged last summer, the pair are clearly one of the show’s most successful couples, with no signs of them slowing down any time soon.

While Tommy has continued to be a well-known name in British boxing with not one loss across any of his fights, Molly-Mae has impressively since spent time as the creative director of Pretty Little Thing with two years in the position. You can stay up to date on how her, her family and her multi-million-pound mansion are all getting on, with occasional appearances from Tommy, on her YouTube channel.

Hannah Elizabeth

Hailing all the way back to Love Island’s first-ever series, Hannah Elizabeth is just as active as ever since being the Playboy Bunny we knew her as all that time ago. While continuing to be as iconic as ever on her socials, she has in fact returned to the island since in Love Island: All Stars, where she joined many other famous faces from recent years.

Michael Griffiths

Since hopping off the island in 2019, Michael Griffiths has now come a long way from his profession as a firefighter. He has now swapped extinguishing flames for bodybuilding, personal coaching and even discussing the latest in sport. He is now a sports commentator, telling you all the latest on the UFC, NFL and many other top sporting events across the year. You can keep up with all of his latest antics over on his Instagram page.

Zara McDermott

Zara has still remained on our screens after her 2018 Love Island appearance, taking an unconventional approach to life to other Love Island past contestants after the show. In recent years, she has made BBC documentaries such as Zara McDermott: Revenge Porn, Zara McDermott: Uncovering Rape Culture and Zara McDermott: Disordered Eating just to name a few. She has also appeared as a contestant in Strictly Come Dancing, being the first islander to appear on the series.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt

Since the time when they first got together on screen in 2017’s Love Island, you’ll be glad to know that Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt are still happily together and living their best lives. Since starting a loving family, they have very recently welcomed their third child to their family, Brodie. Put simply, they’re ultimate couple goals.

Rob Lipsett

Well-known as a popular figure in gym culture, Rob Lipsett is still keeping well and truly active with his popular YouTube channel after appearing for just two days in 2017’s series. Trendsetting as one of the earliest mainstream gym YouTubers, you can tune into his YouTube channel to keep up to date with life lessons, nutritional advice, training tips and many vlogs. He’s also done well by offering a successful online coaching program called Game Plan on his website. Though he may have been one of the more brief Love Island past contestants, it’s clear there was plenty going on for him onshore!

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

As of very recently, 2022’s winner Ekin-Su has now made a big career change, veering off from her usual activities as an influencer and model since her controversial time at the Big Brother house. You may not see her for a while on the TV screen as she’s stated, but you will be able to catch up with her in her upcoming memoir to be released in August. Telling all about what really happened with her split from fellow islander Davide Sanclimenti and opening up about bullying, childhood trauma and much more, you can be sure we’ll be first to be reading up!

Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan

Luke is sadly no longer with his partner on the 2020 show Demi Jones, but has now interestingly ended up partnered with Lucy Donlan from 2019’s series. With his fingers in property, DIY and travel to name just a few of his current occupations, he’s clearly as busy as ever. Much of his and Lucy’s time is taken up with renovation, with them recently taking on the project of restoring a Cornish chapel built in 1879. You can keep up to date on these past Love Island contestants and their progress with how the chapel is getting on over on their YouTube channel.

Alex George

Alex, known for being the doctor in 2018’s series and helping us to keep on top of our health, it’s fair to say he was one of our favourite Love Island past contestants. Keeping up with his mental health advocacy since losing his younger brother and going on to do it full-time, he has been the UK’s Youth Mental Health Ambassador since 2021. He now helps to improve how young people can access mental health services and helps to form policies to do so. You can keep up to date on all of his videos over on his Instagram and TikTok to listen to his best advice and recommendations.

Chris Taylor

Chris has been up to all sorts since he first debuted on our screens in 2019. You catch him keeping his TikTok up to date with funny videos, pranks and other silly antics. Though fans thought he may have been joking at first, his announcement that he would be rubbing shoulders with the stars in Hollywood was in fact wholly true!

If you were looking closely while watching last summer’s biggest blockbuster, Barbie, you could spot him in a cameo appearance, appearing as one of the many Kens in Barbieland. We’ll eagerly await the day he gets top billing!
